Salvatore Picariello has represented clients in a broad range of business litigation matters in both federal and state court, including actions involving unfair competition, business torts, RICO, insurance bad faith, contract disputes, and fraud. Salvatore has also assisted in the representation of debtors and other parties in interests in adversarial proceedings in bankruptcy court.
During his association with the international law firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, Salvatore practiced for several years in the labor and employment group, which is a five-time winner or finalist in The American Lawyer Magazine’s Litigation Department of the Year – Labor and Employment Law. Salvatore represented employers in all aspects of labor and employment litigation, including wrongful termination, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, employment torts, and wage and hour class actions.
Prior to Morgan Lewis, Salvatore was associated with the international law firms of Brobeck, Phelger & Harrison LLP (now defunct) and Morrison & Foerster LLP, where he had worked in the complex commercial litigation and labor and employment departments, respectively.
Before entering private practice, Salvatore served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert E. Cowen on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit from 1997-1998, and he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Garrett E. Brown, Jr., for the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. While attending law school, Salvatore also worked full-time as a whistleblower investigator for the United States Department of Labor-OSHA. He was also a member of the Seton Hall Law Review for three years and served as an Articles Editor in 1993-1994.
Salvatore is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in California and New Jersey, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
